The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour with Landing provides breathtaking aerial footage of the snow-capped Himalayas. It is ideally suited for travelers who lack the time to walk for days at a time. Similarly, people with physical disabilities and the elderly can enjoy a four to five-hour helicopter ride to Nepal's Everest Base Camp. During the journey, one can observe magnificent peaks such as Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku, as well as some of the region's breathtaking landscapes. The Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour starts in the Kathmandu. We leave from the domestic terminal at Tribhuvan International Airport. The flight goes around the valley and then heads to Lukla, which is the entrance to Mount Everest. Aerial view from the helicopter reveals the dramatic landscapes, verdant rolling hills decorated with farm fields accompanied by the backdrop of gratifying mountains. When we get to Lukla Airport, the flight gets even more refreshing. After going in circles for a while, the plane lands at Lukla Airport to refuel. Here is where you'll get your first look at the Sherpa way of life. Most people in the Everest region are Buddhist and follow the traditions that go along with it.
After a break and some flight procedures, we go higher, fly over Everest, and land at Kala Patthar, depending on what the client wants. Our daring pilots will make sure that all safety precautions have been taken and inspect the helipad before finally landing at Kala Patthar at an altitude of 5450m.. Instantly, you will be greeted with 360-degree panoramic views of Nuptse-Lhotse-Lola peaks with Khumbu Ice Falls, glaciers, and Mt. Pumori. You can take pictures to show people back home if you want to, but we recommend that our guests stay in the moment and enjoy the beautiful nature and surroundings.
On our way back to Kathmandu, we stop for breakfast at Hotel Everest View at Syangboche, which is the world's highest hotel. We will stay at Syangboche for about 20 to 30 minutes. After breakfast, we'll fly back to Lukla Airport to get more fuel, and then we'll fly back to Kathmandu.

Win Win Win; Let Raj and team coordinate your journey
Personalized and professional: cannot recommend Raj and his team with Getaway Nepal Adventures highly enough. Raj provides tremendous value. He helped us plan a 12-day trip that covered exactly what we wanted to do. From advising about visas and meeting us at the airport, to staying in touch without ever being intrusive, he always made sure we were settled and had all our questions answered; he kept in close contact throughout, and even called our guides a couple times a day. His team of guides and drivers is excellent (shout out to Shyam and Kaaka!), and they’ve worked together for years. Raj was also able to make adjustments and accommodate last-minute changes to our itinerary seamlessly. Accommodations he chose were top-notch. The cooking class was great. Our trekking guide Shyam taught us how to play Tigers and Goats, treated us to special Nepalese treats in Pokhara, took us to special spots, and was always cheerful.

I went to Nepal with a team of clinicians and counseling students to provide training and continuing education to a group of social workers and professional counselors working in Nepal with trauma survivors. Raj was incredibly kind and helpful with securing us safe and affordable accommodations and providing us with fun and interesting cultural activities. He organized everything flawlessly and seemingly appeared out of nowhere every time we needed him. He was always early, eager to help, and wonderfully knowledgeable about the area attractions and activities.
When a friend and I stayed for an extra 2 days beyond the rest of our group’s departure, Raj recommended and arranged a trip to Bardia National Park for us. He got us a beautiful room in a wonderful resort which included all meals and 2 jeep safaris. The resort staff were all wonderful and it was clear that Raj had instructed them to treat us well! When we ran into an issue of a misplaced passport on our way home, Raj was on the phone with the embassy and already working to resolve the issue so we could get home. Luckily, we located the passport before we got back to Kathmandu and were able to get home without issue.

The best guided journey ever!
dear readers, getawayNepal and Raj made Nepal unforgettable for me. I found Getawaynepal through reviews and after one first email from Raj I immediately had confidence in him. During my journey this has only increased. Raj is a sweet, friendly man and always keeps his promises. Above all, he is very flexible, even if you want to change something in the itinerary. He always inquired if I was okay. I indicated what I wanted to do in Nepal and he responded very well to that. The Homestay in Panauti was very nice. The cooking class in momos, the yoga with the women of the village, the evening meeting with a Nepalese dance performance and the walks through the village with the daughter of the house, all equally fun and interesting. Then to the monastery in Namobuddha where I stayed for 6 days. Beautiful surroundings, eating and praying with the monks, and a whole experience. The tours in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur with the many historical sites were impressive, hotels were good.
